Built for Wherever You End Up
Wander makes water bottles for people who don’t plan their whole day around staying hydrated — they just need something that keeps up. We started because most bottles force a trade-off: the ones that keep drinks cold are too bulky for a bag, and the ones that fit easily leak the second you tip them upside down in your backpack. So we built ours around actual days, not showroom shelves — leakproof lids that survive a gym bag, insulation that holds up past noon, and a shape that doesn’t fight you when you’re one-handing it out the car door.
That means we test the boring stuff nobody puts on a label. We drop bottles down stairwells, leave them in hot cars on purpose, and hand them to people who forget they’re carrying anything until it’s upside down in a tote bag. A bottle can look sleek in a product photo and still soak someone’s laptop the first time it gets knocked over, and we’d rather redesign a cap five times than ship one that fails quietly in someone’s bag. It slows us down, but it’s the only way we know a bottle will still be doing its job on a random Tuesday, not just in the unboxing video.
We’re not building for people chasing a hydration routine. We’re building for the ones who grab a bottle on the way out the door, refill it wherever they land, and don’t think about it again until it’s empty — the way it should work. If that’s you, you already know what you’re looking for. We just make sure it’s actually there when you reach for it.

Carried Somewhere New Every Day
“The straw lid finally solved my one-handed-during-a-run problem. I don’t have to unscrew anything at a stoplight, I just sip and go.”
Marcus H.
“Ice stayed intact for almost two full days camping in July, which sounds fake but I checked every few hours out of disbelief.”
Delia R.
“Bought it for hiking, ended up using it as my everyday desk bottle too. The matte finish doesn’t show water spots like my old steel one did.”

Questions Before Packing It In
Cold drinks generally stay cold for around 24 hours and hot drinks hold their heat for closer to 12, though this depends on how full it is, the outside temperature, and how often the lid gets opened. Leaving it sealed and out of direct sun helps stretch both numbers further.
When the lid is twisted or clicked all the way shut, it should stay sealed through normal movement, including being carried sideways or upside down. A quick check that the seal is seated correctly before closing is worth doing, since a pinched gasket is the most common reason for a slow drip.
A rinse right after use, followed by an occasional deeper clean with baking soda and warm water or a bottle brush, keeps odors and buildup from settling in. Letting it air dry fully with the lid off between uses also helps, since trapped moisture is usually what causes lingering smells.
The main body can usually go on the top rack without any issue, but lids with straws, gaskets, or small moving parts hold up better with a hand wash. Hot water and mild soap reach the tight spots that a dishwasher sometimes misses anyway.
Most versions are built from food-grade stainless steel with a powder-coated exterior, free of BPA and other materials that raise safety concerns for everyday drinking. The coating also cuts down on condensation pooling on the outside.
Replacement lids and gaskets are typically available on their own, so a worn seal doesn’t mean starting over with a new one entirely. If the issue shows up shortly after purchase, reaching out with an order number and a description of the problem is the fastest way to sort out a fix or a replacement part.
